Supportive Carer with Nursing Skill (Student Nurse)

My name is Sarita, and I am originally from Nepal. I am currently a second-year nursing student at Xamk, Kotka, Finland, where I am actively building my skills, knowledge, and confidence in the nursing profession. My journey in healthcare began as a caregiver, and since then I have continued to grow through both formal studies and hands-on experience. I have gained practical exposure by volunteering in several nursing homes, including Hovinsaari Attendo 2, Maria Koti, Saarihovi, and Mäntykangas. These experiences have strengthened my ability to provide compassionate care, build meaningful connections with patients, and work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams. They have also helped me understand the importance of patience, empathy, and professionalism in every aspect of nursing. I am highly motivated, dedicated, and committed to lifelong learning. I take pride in approaching every task with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a genuine desire to support the well-being of others. As I continue my studies, my goal is to grow into a confident, skilled nurse who can contribute meaningfully to healthcare environments and make a real difference in people’s lives.
